Dolphin-EnCOuntours.co.za was established over a decade ago when a small group of young holistically minded humans had the honor of meeting and interacting with the Dolphins of Ponta do Ouro in Southern Mozambique. It was through these magically enlightening dolphin meetings that the mission became very clear. Dolphin EnCOuntours was to establish herself in eco-tourism as the pioneers of Sustainable Dolphin Swim Programs in Southern Africa, with education, investigation and conservation steering her. Programs are structured, with dolphin behavior monitored prior to interactions in order to be non-invasive.

The above program is an ideal dolphin getaway with lots of spare time to sooth the soul and cherish special moments together. Great for family's, team-building, corporate and holistic based tours.

Whales in winter. Ponta sits right on the whales migratory route and is a prime whale watching destination. Here we are graced with the beauty, majesty and awe of both the Humpback and Southern Right Whale. Whales mate and calve in the warm waters off Mozambique and west Africa and can be seen as they move northward on their migration in winter and on their return trip to the southern ocean later in the year. In water interactions with whales are NOT permitted.

Our dolphin swim programs incorporate the Whales in winter as we record all sightings of cetaceans (whales and dolphins) for various institutes in order to protect and conserve the cetacean society.
